About the Mrityunjaya Samputita Mantra
This extended Mrityunjaya form places seed syllables and the three vyahritis around the familiar Tryambakam verse. The surrounding invocations distinguish it from the shorter Mahamrityunjay Mantra already in this collection.
Best time to chant: The entry specifies no time of day or daily count.
In your practice
- The Tryambakam verse framed by seed syllables and the three worlds.
- Repeated recitation can be used as a practice of attention and devotion.
How to chant the Mrityunjaya Samputita Mantra
Practice directions adapted from Infallible Vedic Remedies. Contents entry 13, printed pages 62–63 (PDF pages 74–75).
- The book describes beginning with a sankalpa, an intention naming the person for whom the prayer is offered and their birth nakshatra, with a prayer for well-being and protection.
- Recite the complete extended form, including the opening syllables, Tryambakam verse and reversed closing invocations.
- For a formal vow, clarify the intended total with a knowledgeable teacher: the two source pages print conflicting counts.
Extra notes for your practice
- Printed page 62 says 11 lakh repetitions (1,100,000), while the caption on page 63 says 1 lakh (100,000). The PDF does not resolve this discrepancy. Neither is presented here as an agreed prescription or a daily target.
- The book’s statements about protection and illness are devotional claims. A recitation vow does not guarantee safety or replace healthcare.
